My Big Girl Addie Rae

Since Landry has joined the family in June alot of the talk has been about Landry(shuggie) and how she is doing and how big she has gotten and so on. I'm going to take a minute and brag of my big girl! She has been such a great big sister and a big help to me. She is always willing to get Landry her bottle, help with bath time, hold her while I'm trying to get things done around the house and whatever else we ask. sometimes a little to much if you know what i mean. Addie has always been put first and she is having to share some of that attention, actually alot of it if we are honest because shuggie requires alot at this time so its been a little rough trying to help her understand that we have not forgotten about her as well. Right before school started we took her to a theme park game place in sequin TX and went to San Marcos shopping just her and us and left landry with momo so we could have a little time to spoil her. It's hard to believe that our big girl is going to be eight years old in two months:( She is in Second grade at Northside Baptist School and she loves it. She is doing awanas on Wednesdays at church, Collide on Sunday nights, Hip Hop at Keller Dance on Thursdays and fixing to start softball twice a week and double hiders on Saturdays. So I would say our life with her has not slowed down one bit. She is a very smart, spunky, sassy sometimes a little too much for those of you that know our little girl, but she is a true joy and we are so crazy about  her. This has been so tough for me the past few months learning how to balance my time between my three love of my life's and honestly I'm not that great at it I must say. My prayer is that I will be able to be the best mom to both of my girls and be able to have the relationship with them that I have with my mother. Looking forward to making lots of great memories with them in the years to come now if we could all get healthy again so that the craziness in the chavana house can continue. I love you Addie girl!

Update on Landry Grace

Landry is doing much better we went to the doctor yesterday for her hospital follow up and she has gained back the weight she had lost in the hospital she now weighs 11lbs 9oz. She is still taking several breathing treatments a day and several other medications which i hate, that she is so young and having to be on all this medicine but hopefully she will recover soon. As I was listening to KXBJ today Liz said that she has a two month old baby and was in the kitchen with her the other day and accidentally swung around and hit her head on the cabinet and she was devastated. She said that she  was so upset the whole day and kept apologizing and kissing her sweet baby and just started praying about it, and God revealed to her that are children are not always going to be with us when they get hurt and things like that are going to happen and God spoke to her and said  this "that's why I am here to protect them even when you can't be or you think I've forgotten so I guess the point I'm trying to make is I have been so upset these last few weeks accepting the fact that our precious baby girl was so sick at her age. I have had so much anger and frustration because i felt a lot of this could have been preventedPosted by Picasa. I asked God why would you let this happen lord when you know she is all yours? I'm so thankful that the lord is a forgiving father and he is OK for us to be angry but I'm starting to see the writing on the wall through all of this he has never left her or us I pray that this touches you as much as it did me! We are dedicating our sweet girl to the lord this Sunday its going to be a great day in the chavana family thats for sure!

I want to go home to my own bed!

Finally feeling a little better!

Yeah I get to go home!
Our shoogie started getting sick labor day weekend before we went to Temple to visit with my brother Justin & Sister in law Brynn and nephews Kellen & Grayson. She started with some slight congestion and of course it was the weekend and could not see her doctor. I went to HEB Pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacist, and she suggested doing nose drops and the Buggie sucker as we call it. We headed off to temple for a fun weekend, and shuggie was pretty miserable the whole time. So we came back to town Monday and its labor day so still no doctor ,and have to wait till Tuesday morning to go in and of course were told its just allergies and there is not much we can do for her except what your already doing so we go home and continue doing what we were told. Wednesday came and went and Thursday she was much worse had a horrible cough was very horse when she would cry no appetite and very fussy. This time we were told she had severe bronchitis and we needed to start breathing treatments and continue doing the nose drops by this time i was pretty frustrated that my poor baby is only 2months old and is so sick now its the weekend and she was getting worse so Sunday Frankie and I decided to take her to the er and of course you know what that consist of long wait, no answers, big hospital bill and lots of frustration. Finally after being there for 5hrs it was determined that she had pneumonia and we were being admitted. They had trouble getting her IV inserted because she was very dehydrated  by this time and poor baby was put through alot we were so exhausted from tears and seeing are baby go through so much  pain ,we were finally admitted about 10:00 to the pedi floor at De tar North we spent 2 1/2 days there on iv antibiotics and fluids and lots of breathing treatments and no sleep. We are so blessed to have such great friends like John & Lindsay Woods, Cherylynn Dry, Marissa Mead, that brought us dinners while we were there and several others that called, text came by and visited our sweet girl. We are so glad to be home and shuggie is getting much better each day now mama(me) is not feeling so hot but that's part of it thank you again for all of your prayers and concerns we are so ready to have our shuggie healthy again.
